Taliban has slammed the Pakistani airstrikes in the provinces of Khost, Kunar and Paktika and described them as a ‘cowardly act of aggression’. Meanwhile, Pakistani tried to imply Indian involvement in the recent attacks but foreign ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has called them ‘baseless allegations’.

Pakistan Afghanistan Conflict Latest News: Pakistan recently conducted airstrikes on neighbouring Afghanistan. Now the Taliban has condemned those deadly strikes, calling them a ‘cowardly Act of aggression’. 

Pakistan Afghanistan Conflict Latest News: Taliban’s Full Statement 

Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar slammed Pakistan’s recent airstrikes on Afghan territory. He described them as a “cowardly act of aggression” and an “act of brutality”.  Hayatullah Mohajer Farahi, the deputy minister for publications at the Ministry of Information and Culture said that Kabul will respond ‘in due time’.

Pakistan Afghanistan Conflict Latest News: Civilian Death Poll  Rises to 39 

According to Afghan officials, the recent airstrikes led to the deaths of 39 civilians, with 160 getting wounded. This is the first time the civilian death poll from the attack has been publicly shared. The attacks happened in the Khost, Kunar and Paktika provinces, all of which are located close to the Pakistani border.

Pakistan’s Claim: 29 Militants Killed 

Pakistani forces targeted ‘militant hideouts’ and ‘safe havens’ in Khost, Kunar and Paktika. Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar shared video footage of the attacks on X (formerly Twitter). , in which projectiles attacked the camps of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and Fitna al-Khwarij, which Pakistan has designtaed as terrorist organisations

Pakistan Afghanistan Conflict Latest News: Why Did Pakistan Attack Afghanistan?

According to Islamabad, the attack was part of its counter terrorism campaign against Kabul. It follows a deadly attack at a paramilitary building in Karachi, for which the Jamaat-ul-Ahrar. 

The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs also shared today that it had summoned Afghanistan’s top diplomat in Islamabad to address the involvement of Afghan nationals in recent attacks 

Information minister Tarar has said that “will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.” Tarar also tried to imply Indian involvement in the recent attacks but India’s foreign ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has called them ‘baseless allegations’
