The foreign ministry of Qatar has slammed Israel’s recent attacks on Syria in a formal statement. “The State of Qatar expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli attacks on the Syrian governorates of Quneitra and Daraa, considering them a flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and a blatant breach of international law and international humanitarian law”, the statement read.
It added that “The ministry calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities to deter Israel, compel it to respect international law, and prevent the region from sliding into a wider cycle of violence”.
Israel’s Attacks on Syria
Yesterday, Israeli troops ventured into Syria. The IDF stated that its soldiers “eliminated several armed terrorists” in parts of Southern Syria. While the country’s defense minister Israel Katz said that IDF forces will remain there ‘without any time limit’.
US-Israel-Iran War Latest Update: Iranian & Omani Diplomats Meet in Muscat
Iran’s deputy foreign minister Kazem Gharibabadi has claimed that Iranian and Omani diplomats met in Muscat, to discuss navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. It marked the first official meeting of the Hormuz Committee, which both countries set up jointly.
“While reviewing current issues related to the strait, we exchanged views on the future management of the strait within the framework of Article 5 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and the sovereign rights of coastal states”, Gharibabadi wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
US-Israel-Iran War Latest Update: Hezbollah Slams Israel
A few days ago, Israel and Lebanon signed a framework agreement brokered by the US. But yesterday, the Israeli troops destroyed a tunnel in Southern Lebanon. Now, Lebanese militant group Hezbollah has accused Israel of violating the ceasefire.
In a formal statement, the group said that it “reiterates that what the enemy has done is a blatant violation of the ceasefire to which it has adhered until now and that it is monitoring and tracking these violations and reserves its right to defend its homeland and its people”.

Nabih Berri, the speaker of the Lebanese parliament has said that the framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon “will not pass and will not be implemented in its current form”. He described the agreement as “an agreement of ‘dictates,’ not an agreement that preserves Lebanon’s rights”. Berri is known for his ties to Hezbollah.
